Europe is a continent full of diverse cultures, languages and traditions. It’s also home to some of the world’s most beautiful cities. But it also has some scary places. Here are some places in Europe that you might want to visit, but there are some that are terrifying.
- The Catacombs of Paris is one of the most famous cemeteries in the world, and it is also one of the creepiest places in Europe. Located beneath a former stone quarry, this ossuary contains the remains of six million people – including many who died during the French Revolution and World War I – all piled up in stacks on top of each other like cordwood.
- The Crossrail tunnels are a series of deep level railway tunnels that are being constructed in central London under Pudding Lane, Barbican, Farringdon and Liverpool Street stations. The project is expected to be completed in 2019 at a cost of £14bn. At the time of construction, the tunnels were planned to run from Pudding Lane to Farringdon and will be about 20 metres below ground due to their proximity to historically important sites

The Catacombs of Paris
The Catacombs of Paris are a network of tunnels and chambers that were originally created to store the remains of six million people. They are located about 100 meters below the surface. It is believed that the catacombs were built in 1786 and it was officially dedicated in 1810.
The Catacombs are a great place for tourists to visit when they come to Paris. There is a lot of history that can be seen there, including the bones from long dead people. The only downside is that it can be scary because it is dark, damp and filled with spiders and rats.
You can do more of a research if you decide to go there. There are a lot of articles written about it saying how it can destroy you from inside and scare you. The Crossrail tunnel is a place definitely not worth to visit in Europe
The Crossrail tunnels are the longest and deepest railway tunnels in the world. They were built to allow trains to travel from east London to west London, with a branch line running under central London.
Crossrail tunnels were responsible for many deaths because of the lack of safety precautions taken and the sheer number who died in construction. Crossrail tunnel construction has resulted in more than 20 deaths. Three workers were killed and several others were injured when a brick wall collapsed during excavation on the 8th July 2005. A coroner’s inquiry was launched into the matter and concluded in December 2006. The brick wall that collapsed was only half an inch thick. It also had no protection. A second fatal accident occurred when, on April 16, 2006, an underground ventilation shaft collapsed in front of a Park.
