Los Angeles is a famous location that people from all over the world travel to. For this individual post, I decided to highlight the city of LA from Malibu to Burbank and outline some of its most popular attractions. I took on a bigger geographic location so people had a good idea what LA had available if they visited.

1. Santa Monica Pier
Right next to Venice Beach is the Santa Monica Pier. This iconic spot is the end of Route 66 and features a sign that is often photographed. It also has an amusement park on the pier with a ferris wheel and roller coaster. It is a great place for a day at the beach and evening photography as well. And you may visit 3rd Street Promenade, which has modern shops and delicious restaurants.
2. Getty Center and Villa
The two Getty locations are two of the best museums to explore in the United States. The Getty Center, located near UCLA, has days’ worth of exhibits to see, award-winning fine art by Monet and van Gogh, and splendid views of the streets of greater Los Angeles. The Getty Villa, situated in Malibu, has plenty of Greek and Roman sculptures and a serene central pool. I love both of these museums, and they are both worth checking out while you’re in Los Angeles.

3. Beverly Hills
While I am not a great shopper, it still is interesting to pay a visit to Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive due to their iconic status. The Beverly Hills sign is positioned near a large fountain, and it is a popular place for photographs. A few blocks away is Sprinkles, which has a cupcake ATM that has gotten lots of repeat customers. After a few more blocks, you will see Rodeo Drive, made famous by the film Pretty Women. It has a bunch of high-end stores where I cannot spend anything, but it’s still fun to look around when they’re dressed up for the season.
4. Echo Park
The Echo Park district in LA is a great place to be on a pleasant day. It has a lake in the center of the city along with many restaurants, shops, and breweries. You can rent a swan boat to cruise around on a warm day. The French bistro also sells outstanding food and has its own exceptional Time Travel Mart. I find returning to that area irresistibly stimulating.
5. Movie Locations
One location near Los Angeles is especially popular among visitors. Of course, you may visit many excellent locations on the studio tours but you can also visit Union Station, the Bradbury Building, Randy’s Donuts, and Angels Flight, to name a few, and there are countless other locations where movies have been filmed throughout the city.
6. Venice Beach
Venice Beach is a lively city on the West Coast of America, west of Los Angeles. It has the streets filled with entertainment, a skate park, street art, the beach, and the Venice Canals. The canals are my favorite place to visit as I walk the street and go over the many bridges. Someone might not expect to find a site like this in Los Angeles.
7. Restaurants in L.A.
For my second to last recommendation, I simply wanted to call out the Los Angeles food scene. LA boasts some of the best restaurants in the nation, and I’d love to produce a film just about food one of these days. A couple of my favorite areas are Philippe’s for French dip, Diakokuya for ramen, Guisados for tacos, Langer’s for a pastrami sandwich, Mozza for pizza, and Randy’s for donuts, to name a few.

8. Downtown L.A.
Since Downtown LA has a bad reputation, it has quite a few problems, but there are also a lot of things to see, such as the Broad Museum for its unique modern art, the Skyspace observatory for its glass slide and amazing 360-degree views, and Grand Central Market because of its fun restaurants. 9. Hollywood Blvd
If you don’t mind parking at the mall, try visiting Hollywood and Highland. It’s a good place to go for sightseeing. Here, you will see the stars in Hollywood, the TCL Chinese Theater with its hand and footprints, and the village of Ripley’s Believe It or Not. It’s a great way to spend a couple hours in Hollywood. 10. Olvera Street
Olvera Street is one of the most historic downtown neighborhoods in the greater Los Angeles area and is the perfect place for people to visit for Dia de Los Muertos festivities that take place there every year. Aside from restaurants and shopping options, the area has a lot to offer for visitors. Every year, the festival has been going on for more than 30 years, and it’s a celebration of life with dancers, murals, face painting, and a procession. I have attended many times and always enjoy the experience.
